Saturday was our last day in Holland. After a quick trip into Weesp, we headed to Keukenhof gardens to see if we could see any tulips. We were about two weeks too late, and most of the tulips around Holland were already gone. However, Keukenhof still had quite a few, and we spent a lovely morning walking around the gardens.
After the gardens, we headed for the North Sea. It was a beautiful day, and the wind was just right for flying a kite. We purchased a cheap one from the shop near the beach and spent a while trying to get it to fly. After several failed attempts, we finally got it up! When we got tired of flying the kite, we looked for sea shells and crabs. The sea shells were plentiful, but the crabs were not. We didn't see a single one.
On the way back, Mathea drove us through Haarlem. There were so many huge houses, and they were so beautiful! We loved the scenery. Then it was home to pack for another 10 hour plane ride. We loved being in Holland. Thanks, Mathea for making our trip so memorable and enjoyable! Hopefully we can make it back before too long!
